Volkswagen Scirocco triple gauge panel installation instructions for replacing the ashtray in the center console with additional gauges.

Mk2 Scirocco Gauge Panel — Installation of the Scirocco Triple Gauge Panel requires removal of the center console from the car and cutting out of the ashtray area. This can be accomplished with simple hand tools such as a Dremel with a cutoff blade and a sharp knife. Sand paper and a file are also recommended for smoothing the newly cut edges.

Mk2 Scirocco Gauge Panel — The back of the ashtray, ashtray guides, and raised lip on the top edge of the ash tray opening will need to be removed.

Mk2 Scirocco Gauge Panel — Next, cut off the raised lip on the top edge of the ash tray opening.

Mk2 Scirocco Gauge Panel — Cut off the ashtray guides. You only need to remove the one on the right side closest to the gauge opening.

Mk2 Scirocco Gauge Panel — After cutting, smooth the rough edges with sandpaper.

Mk2 Scirocco Gauge Panel — Attach the center gauge to the Triple Gauge Panel with it’s U-shaped bracket and place it in the console. Install the outer gauges and attach the U-shaped brackets, bending the outer leg so it clamps securely to the center console.

Mk2 Scirocco Gauge Panel — The Triple Gauge Panel is held in place by bending the outer two legs of the U-clamps so they clamp to the plastic.

Mk2 Scirocco Gauge Panel — Installation is complete!
